Islam: Believers and Nonbelievers
written by Sayed Iman Rafizadeh
Religion has predominantly been at the centre of controversy for centuries. After long period of war and injustice caused by religion, eventually humanity has achieved to put religion aside and begun a new era called Enlightenment. However, there are still a few number of countries which have been ruling by barbaric Islamic Sharia law.
Islamic states are deeply corrupted. Just by having a quick look at the list of countries ruled by Sharia law, it is easily noticeable that the leaders of those countries are amongst the richest leaders and the people are amongst the poorest in the world. Islamic leaders try to cover their corruption and brutality by associating themselves with a dictatorial supernatural power which they call Allah. Such a cruel deception gives absolute power to Islamic regimes to dominate all the aspects of people’s lives.
In 21st century when the theory of evolution is the backbone of all biological and medical discoveries and achievements, Mullahs and Ayatollahs stubbornly keep rejecting such a proven theory. They consider any un-Islamic opinion as being satanic. Their most frequent answer to all questions is that ‘Allah knows best’ and they consider themselves as representatives of Allah.
The growing awareness of young generation of Muslims is the biggest challenge to Islamic regimes. Islam desperately carries out two main policies to fight against any democratic movements amongst Muslims. At the first stage, it tries to brainwash the Muslims by promising them a comfortable life after death. A lazy hedonistic lifestyle in paradise which mainly provides ‘true believers’ with plenty of food and sex. Quran describes this paradise as following:
[Waqia`h 56:20] "And fruits that they may like." [Waqia`h 56:21] "And meat of birds that they may wish." [Waqia`h 56:22] "And gorgeous eyed fair maidens." [Rahman 55:56] "Upon thrones are the women who do not gaze at men except their husbands, and before them, are untouched by any man or jinn."
For ‘nonbelievers’, Islam turns into an aggressive and cruel religion to frighten Muslims of the consequences of betraying Allah and Mohammad. It terrifyingly makes threats of wide range of brutal punishments awaiting ‘nonbelievers’ and those punishments target them both in this world and the ‘life after death’. Islam shamelessly encourages ‘believers’ to get rid of ‘nonbelievers’ by disowning and killing them:
[Taubah 9:23] "O People who Believe! Do not consider your fathers and your brothers as your friends if they prefer disbelief over faith; and whoever among you befriends them - then it is he who is the unjust." [Taubah 9:123] "O People who Believe - fight the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find severity in you, and know well that Allah is with the pious."
As being personally grown up and educated under a deeply Islamic society in heart of Middle East, I am fully aware of risks involved in renouncing Islam. However, there are increasing number of Muslims who are fed up with tyrannical Islamic ideology and seeking support and safety to get rid of Islamic atrocity, obstinacy and ignorance. It is our responsibility to help them to start a new life, a life inspired with freedom and rationality.
